I teach a lot of people how to improve their property photography but my business also edits several thousand photos every month for estate agents and individual customers all around the UK. On photography workshop days, the questions that I invariably get asked about involve Photoshop and these include, ‘How did you get rid of that car?’ and ‘How do you add blue skies? I thought it might be fun to showcase some of the out-of-the-ordinary Photoshopping jobs we get asked to undertake from time to time and so I’ll be putting up a few examples of before and after jobs that gave me some particular pleasure when I did them.

Here’s a photo of a footballer who was the dad of one of my older customers. You’ll see that he’s missing a leg, although in real life he definitely had two.

I used to be an agent and one of the challenges I had, like most agents have today when they’re selling new homes, is how to make the one-off new house or small development, the ones that haven’t been furnished or dressed in any way, look sexy so that they stand out from the crowd.
